Re: pulling left

Could be tire pull.. try cross switching the front tires.. if it pulls in the opposite direction after cross switching that will confirm it.

Re: pulling left

I agree with first two answers. Also may want to look at left rear slight brake drag, caliper or parking brake. Can check by comparing how easy rear wheels turn (jacked up) or after a drive, one will be noticeably hotter.

Re: pulling left

Just went thru this - the right front caliper was stuck open and pulled left.

But will it then not only pull to one side when braking? Was your problem not due to the wheel speed sensor being bad? A bad sensor can cause the ABS to bleed away the brake pressure to the respective wheel.

Re: pulling left

It pulled at all times even when no pressure on the pedal but braking increased the pull. Now that I think about it, the wj began pulling to the left over the winter.

The ABS replacement And clearing all the codes with a snap on tool did not change the pull.

But when it pulled to the left, then the left brake should have been dragging.

At the normal resting position pads under light pressure from the caliper put pressure on the rotor. In the case of my WJ, the stuck caliper did not put any pressure on the pads and there was not the expected resistance on the right caliper when compared to the left. Because the left side had normal resistance the vehicle pulled left - essentially the opposite of a stuck caliper.
