Putting in an RB1 Stereo in my '03 WJ, few questions.

Hey guys. Will be installing a factory RB1 radio in my 03 WJ Limited. I ordered a ten pin auxiliary adapter to give me a physical AUX cable hookup. My question is the radio came off a Chrysler. When I plug it in and turn it on does anyone know if it'll say Chrysler from where it came off of? Or will it say Jeep from the EVIC telling it? That's what I wasn't quite sure of. If anyone can shed some light that'd be great. Thanks!

Re: Putting in an RB1 Stereo in my '03 WJ, few questions.

when you it up it will read the PCM/Canbus and will auto select jeep.

For an 03 all you will need is the gps antenna which is like $10 on ebay.

Let me know if you "find" a good nav disc lol.

other than that i believe there is 1 wire for steering wheel controls. but mine was a 99.

Thanks for the info! My new RB1 is coming with a Nav antenna. Any advice where to put that nav antenna? As for finding a "good" nav disk, i just spent the $90 on a mopar one to have inside my jeep book inside the car, for if i never need it. Im sure i could get the info off the disk, the one im getting is the 05064033AH disk (September 2009), if you need a copy of the disk i get, send me a PM.

Does the RB1 stereo have an output for a subwoofer?

Honestly I'm not sure. Has the usual 21 pin and 10 pin hookups in the back.
