Signal relay

Hey everyone, so I have an '03 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, and the signals have been a bother for a while. The right one would always work, the left one very rarely. So I decided to buy a new signal relay.. I go to put it in, and nothing. Now my hazards or signals work. I don't have my other relay at all.. I tried fixing it and messed it up.. I checked every single fuse that is in the Jeep. Could there be something I'm missing here? I'm positive I bought the right relay, it has the same part number and exact look to it as the original. Any help would be superior!

Thanks,

Ian

Re: Signal relay

As mentioned in the other post, since it was working before with the old relay and it doesn´t work anymore with the new relay, most probably the new relay is bad.
Just to be sure that you looked at the right fuses, it are fuse 4 and fuse 20 on the junction block under the steering wheel area.

Re: Signal relay

Okay sounds good! I'll recheck the fuses later tonight. I already switched the relays, and should get the new one tonight as well. Hopefully that will do it!

Re: Signal relay

So I changed the new relay I just received in there. Plus changed the two fuses you said and still nothing.

Re: Signal relay

Ok, that is strange. With the old relay right turn was allways ok, but left turn sometimes. How where the hazards back then?
And now left nor right nor hazards work. I would have a look at the slots of the relay if not one of the receptacles in the junction block are pushed back. If you have a multimeter, i would measure for voltage on pins 1 and 6 of the relay. 1 should have 12V allways, while 6 only will have 12V when ignition is switched on.
