small annoying issue - jerking when in lower gears?

Hi everyone, I'm brand new here. I have been looking in the forums for a similar issue to me, but it seems quite unique!

I just bought my first Jeep. It is a wj with 4.0l 6 in line cylinders and selec-trac.

Everything seems to be running fine, except for some small hiccups on lower speed. Sometimes when go to about 50km/h rims if I take my foot off the gas, and the gears switch down, I get a small jerk. Almost as if I a had extra gas that needed to be burned. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I recently decided to try looking for any error codes, and it returned p1490 and p1489, but I wouldn't think the relay fans could be the cause. Also, the check engine light is not in, so nothing seems off there either. Any ideas?

Does it seem as if the shifting of the gear is too soon? If it shifts too soon, and the rpms are not in the right range, it can give a jerking feeling.

It does. And once every 100 thousand years or so, it feels too slow to switch up gear. Althiugh it has its days, and it's not something that happens all the time. Should I look into my transmission?

Is it just me being a horrible driver? @_@

On a second note, I noticed you're from sao paulo. Always cool to see a fellow brazilian!

Yeh, i think its just you being a horrible driver.
Just kidding. First i would check the transmission fluid level and color/smell. Fresh fluid is light red, while over time it can become a bit of a brownish, but there should not be any burning smell to it.
If you dont know the service history, it probably would be a good idea to change the fluid and filter.
If nothing wrong sofar, check the adjustment of the throttle linakge, see attachment for this.
And yes, i do live in the state of So Paulo, however im Dutch.
