Standard ride height

When i remember well, when i bought my jeep 7 years ago, that i couldnt see the roof easily. Now it can be that i entered a midlife grow spurt at my 50 years of age, otherwise i would expect the jeep to be lower then it was before. I also see a lot of wear on the bump stops front and rear and one rear stop is completely busted. Didnt measure the distance between the stops, but my estimate is that it only has around a 2" of travel. Sofar i couldnt find anything written in the manuals regarding the standard ride height. Anyone knows what the standard ride height should be front/rear? I will replace all the spring isolators, since a rear right one is damaged and probably the rest will be dry and hard. Bought a complete set from Moog and new bump stops as well. But before damaging the new stops, it would be nice to know if i will need new springs as well.

69-70" from the ground to the top of the roof rack at the highest point seems to be what I'm finding.

Thanks Tony. Just saw on some other jeep site that they mention 19" from the center of the wheel until the lower lip of the fender. On mine its about 18". They also say that the rubber isolators will get permanently compressed over time and you can loose about 3/4 of an inch. I will replace those as soon as they com in from Rockauto and then see further. Couldn´t find anything about the free spring lenght sofar.

I know MOOG also carries the OE replacement style springs. I wonder if you could email them directly. Since they manufacture, they may be able to send you a spec sheet on the springs themselves. I'd measure mine for you at full droop, but mine are probably just as worn as yours with 120k on them.

Can you see how much travel you have at the front before the axle will touch the bump stop? On my jeep i have max 2" of travel and the stops look real bad.

Yes sir. When I get home tonight, I'll take a measurement for ya.

Thanks again Tony. The bump stop looks almost as new, while on my jeep it looks as if its going to fall apart. My shocks are less then a year old, so they should not be the problem. We have a lot of awfully high speed bumps overhere, so maybe that it the reason the stops are touched a lot. Well, i will change the spring isolators anyway, since the one at the exhaust side seems to be melted. No signs of leaks of the exhaust, so no idea how that happened.

It does...still has that natural rubber yellow thing going on. I hate speed bumps. I can honestly say, I've probably only hit mine 3-4 times. If you need any additional measurements, let me know.
