Re: Thanks and farewell

Thanks All. I was planning on hanging on to the WJ until the WK2 became available with a diesel in the US or a more fuel efficient transmission for the V6. I was facing a very large repair bill on the WJ (V8 head gasket job) and that is the straw that broke the camel's back. Actually it was more like the other half's back. I had to move on to keep peace. We shopped for a new WK2' at three different dealers but between so so gas mileage, WJ issues, and dealers being stupid, Chrysler lost what should have been a slam dunk sale. Sad really.

I might be back with a more fuel friendly WK2 down the line... That is a good looking SUV and it seems fairly well put together.

Enjoy your Jeeps. I'll still pop in once in a while

Is'nt owning a Jeep part of the fun of working on and tinkering with..I have 2 Jeeps, will never give them up..Sure,I have had some issues with the WJ (not much with the 94 project XJ),but that's the fun of it..Good luck, and take care with your new choices.....
