Re: The Blue project!

Oh I got them off of Ebay too, so I'm not sure who it was exactly that I bought them off of. The LED bulbs I'm using came from V-LED and the HID kit came from our vendor here....XenonDepot

WoW Wheels look Great! What paint did you use? I think if you want to tint the taillights you might want to consider the VHT NightShades. Its only about $5 a can and some tape if you keep the lights on. I did my taillights on my BMW and its nice because I never put a clear coat on it, so it slowly fades (I like some red still.) But the main reason I think it would be good besides you seem to be able to hangle a simple project is the VHT is Flat black which will match your wheels. You can add a clear coat with what ever finish you like if you prefer something else but I think it would go great with your color scheme. Whole project would take less than an hour. Good Luck let me know if you have any questions, I would be glad to answer.

Here is a an old pic of my lights to give you an idea...

Re: The Blue project!

Did you plasti-dip those rogue chrome rims? They are super sweet rims, I do like the matte black but they suit the chrome too.

Oh, let me know if you are looking to buy a set of Gen 3 lights and a HID kit, I have a pair that I'm looking to shift.

Chrome Gen 3's with XenonDepot XtremeHID Philips 4300k bulbs (used for 3 months). HIDs are illegal here and I don't to draw attention from the cops - tinted tails and front window tints is enough!

Re: The Blue project!

I was thinking about getting those but decided to go a different route. I am going with these. They are simple, cheaper, and I think they look better (except for the amber stripe)

I debated about the Audi headlight for a while but the biggest thing that turned me away was the Audi strip wasn't very bright and I would want it brighter so it would show more. This would require me to take apart the headlight and put in a new strip. If I am gonna be paying more then $250, I don't wanna be opening up the headlights before they even get in the Jeep.

This is where I am getting mine from:

Re: The Blue project!

I agree...the first thing I did when I got mine was open them up and remove that damn amber reflector. Actually, I wrapped it in carbon fiber wrap. I was going to paint it, but didn't want to wait, and the wrap goes with a lot of other details on the Jeep.
