Re: The Blue project!

Yes...but clean it please. Use a throttle body cleaner. I unbolt mine and remove it to clean it but it can be done on the vehicle.

Re: The Blue project!

That sux dude...at least it's a cheap fix. I bet you can find what you need at any decent auto parts store.

Re: The Blue project!

The breakage is an easy fix plus you found the "wire tape mod" that you can fix too

Re: The Blue project!

I can understand taping something up like that until you can get to the store and pick up the proper part...but that's about it. $hit like that is friggin irritating. Thankfully, I haven't found any "mods" on my Jeep. I have had discoveries like that on previous vehicles though.

When you're all done under there, you might want to do a nice de-greasing and spray some protectant under there to keep hoses and stuff from drying out. I use Simple Green, a soft brush, the garden hose on very low pressure, and after it dries, I hit it with a product called CD-2 engine detailer. It leaves everything nice and clean with a low gloss and keeps the hoses and rubber nice and flexible.
