Re: Transmission filters

I went on NAPAonline.com and they will ship outside the states too a post office box if that helps.
NAPA is a large parts store chain in the states.

Thanks for that. I did check some sites online, but found them all to be around the same price as when buying directly overhere. And with the shipping and customs times, it takes around 2 to 3 weeks to have it in my hands.
Just found out that AltoUsa is the maker of the Alto Red friction discs and other transmission stuff. I heard good things about the Alto Red friction discs, which are used as upgrades in transmission rebuilds for high power applications. So I expect that their filters will be at the same standards. I will give this a try.

Re: Transmission filters

Good luck! I've used the Mopar kit as well as the WIX kits before, but have never heard of Alto.

Re: Transmission filters

I have always read and been told to use Mopar filters (especially the internal spin-on filter in the pan) with the 5-45RFE. That being said, on my last fluid/filter change I used an aftermarket version of the internal filter because the dealer was closed when I did the change. I have almost 50k miles on it since then and have noticed that when it is cold it is really slow to go into gear. Looks like it is time to drop the pan and change the filters myself.
