To the WJ this weekend: Pulling the carpet back on the driver & passenger side and drying it out. Then putting some weathertech mats in and doing an oil change.

OH....and buying my membership to here again lol
I've gotten them through Chrysler before, but I'm pretty sure you can get them here if you're a "paying" member of a certain status. There's a whole forum on here just for build sheets I believe.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Today the Jeep gets a bath...this weekend...if I can find some time in-between all the side jobs I've got on tap, I'll get the trans pan dropped, filters changed, new pan, new bolts, and new juice. I ended up buying a new OE pan and layering on about 12 coats of Rustoleum bedliner (used the entire can). If the stock one lasted this long (and still has life) then my beefed up version should be able to go 100k without a problem.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

The transmission fluid will normally dissipate some of its heat via the tranny pan to the air. With so many layers it will work as an isolator and less heat will be dissipated. More is not always better.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I actually did consider that for a moment...but I live in Ohio. I'm sure these WJ's see much higher temps day in and day out in climates like TX, AZ, etc, so I figure if these rigs survive those types of temps everyday, a few extra coats of rustproofing shouldn't hurt. At least I hope...

The "veins" in the pan were retained, so that should help. Check out the paint job!

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Did fluid swaps in both WJ's this week. All four diffs with Mobil 1 and Mopar LS additive for extra insurance and the t-cases. Wife is very glad I did hers. Hers was starting to get the left turn bark.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

threw in a set of triple hella air horns last week that I had laying around from my previous car. Earlier this week noticed a sound when I was making turns, and then noticed a puddle under the front end of jeep. Dropped off at mechanic, power steering hose was leaking, and has been replaced.
