Thats what I get for trying to save on shipping with Rock Auto. This time I chose the Raybestos professional grade joint (from RA again). They had a little video on the product page that talked up the design, while I know Moog always makes improvements it was still the same basic design as factory and omix, I wanted to try something different. I can't speak to its longevity, but so far its improved handling to the point the wife noticed!

That sucks! Hopefully they get your a new tire ASAP!

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Removed the factory head unit and installed the Alpine CDA-9847 that has been on the shelf in the garage for 3 years. I like it better than the factory unit but my wife disagrees.

Replacing drivers door door lock actuator. I thought it sucked not being able to open. I think worse knowing that door isn't locked. Experienced issue over a month ago. Played with the lock and got it to work. Grabbed handle before disarming last night and pulled door open setting off alarm. Pulled panel today and the part that rod is connected to is rusted pretty good. Went to a friends JY he said come back on Saturday and I can pull it when no one around. Tried another yard for heck of it and they had 2 WJs both inaccessible at the moment. Thought about grabbing from a member or eBay but by the time I get it'll be the weekend anyways.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Gonna install the 3rd water pump o ring seal in 5 years on a replacement pump I would say it was a casting flaw but it's a different place every time. This one was a Felpro too but it lasted 4 years. Maybe I'm torqueing it wrong. Anybody got the specs handy? I hate f'ing with that pump. Man I'm tempted to add a bead of silicone too but IDK if that's a good idea.

See attached, the bolts are numbered in the picture and the torque spec is 40 ft lbs. Good luck with it! I haven't lost a drop since replacing my pump over a year ago, warped pump casting? Very strange.

I've got a ticking that appears whenever I accelerate or apply pressure to gas pedal. Sounds/feels as though it is coming from underneath the shift console.

Going to look good! Are you going to leave them stock color or plastidip them?

Pop the hood, see if you hear it at idle, could be an exhaust leak coming from somewhere. Or debris hitting a drivetrain part? Got a card stuck in your spokes?
