That should keep me busy for a little while.
Any one know bigger/better calipers over stock?
Sounds like some fun upgrades. Since yours is an 04 it will already have the front Akebono calipers. I've found I get pretty good stopping power from those with new stock calipers in back. I thought I remembered seeing a big brake kit from Stillen but couldn't find it now, maybe it was another company. Either way it was a $3k kit iirc, kinda cost prohibitive I would think unless you are going racing.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Yea, I have an 04.. so it was my understanding that I already have them.

3k for brakes is definitely not something I am about to do haha. I guess I will just see what gains I receive from the drill slotted and EBC. I have heard good things so maybe it will suffice... I am just tired of warping rotors... That is another reason I went with drill slotted, to help keep the heat down. I will probably replace the calipers when I do the brakes just in case the ones I have now are dragging a bit and causing unnecessary wear.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I've run EBC's now on my last few rides and have had very good results, and that's through some pretty nasty rust-belt weather up here in NE Ohio. Mine are 2.5 years old...and still going strong. That's through a caliper failure too. I'm running the USR series rotors all the way around with Greenstuff 7000 up front and 6000 in the rear. I'd also recommend Napa for OE replacement calipers. I did have one fail, and they replaced it, no questions asked. Perfect time to throw new ones on. Plus if you want to paint them, it's a lot easier to do before you install them. $52 per caliper at Napa.

Finally got my Jeep through inspection. What a pain in the ass that was. Basically had three knackered track rods, wheel bearing and the rear control arm bushes were, well, non existent pretty much!

Next plan of attack, is to attack with the airbrush and some candy green paint. But I still don't know what to do on her! Lol

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Nice. That's a serious set-up!

Went and had the front-end looked at. Not good. Need new drag link ends, right front axle and pinion seal are to be replaced and my R/R axle seal and bearing are leaking. Plus my tie rods are questionable. Fawwk

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Looks great! I heard a double din might involve some trimming back in the pocket somewhere. Is that true?
