Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Well, I had a $50 gift card for Summit Racing, and happened to be in the neighborhood and they happened to be having a sale, and Superchips just happened to be offering a $25 rebate. So even though I was headed to Summit just to get a Gatorback for the wife's WK, I ended up with a tuner. Now I'm a Flashpaq'er too. It's been programmed for 91oct, and now I can't wait to go for a spin tomorrow. I blame Dave and Aaron...and this forum in general.

Hell yeah Tony about time! This forum has a tendency to to make a member do things like that lol. Glad to hear you joining the flashpaqer's. I'd definitely blame Dave for this, his thread was one of the main reasons I bought mine.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I'm sure you'll love the Superchips Tony. The 91 oct tune makes quite a difference, sadly it had to go as it would shift at 4krpm with the F&B TB... Dunno why but the stock tune works perfect with it.

So I took up FRP's recent sale on the SCT custom tune + tuner, just waiting on it arriving and then get the data logger hooked in.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Well, I didn't get to really hit it much today...the cops were out in force. Preliminary review is awesome though. Acceleration is IMPRESSIVE. Can't wait to get it on the highway on Monday morning. I'll be at the airport in a heartbeat...hahahaha

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

So finally got my calipers painted today. It's taken damn near two weeks for the custom paint to come in

Started off with a basecoat of high temp white;

Left that to cure and when the magic parcel finally arrived...

I am getting the cooling system flushed then replacing the radiator that has developed a pin-hole leak since I signed the papers...

I replaced my radiator a few weeks ago. Bought it from rockauto. Spectre brand. So far so good, I would recommend it

Thank you! Definitely cheaper than Napa! Especially after a 5% coupon code I found on line.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

tackling my front passenger door lock actuator. Debating replacing the whole with another OEM one, or I saw a few posts and tutorials about just picking up a heavy duty universal actuator and disconnecting OEM 1 and connecting the universal to the rods. Anyone have any advice or input? Started 2 summers back actually on pretty warm days I will be unable to open that door from the outside, only from the inside. Haven't heard any "quacking" noises yet. Also the other day the driver's side door didn't unlock on 1st attempt from remote either.
