Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

NEO can also suck it...I have a funny feeling this winter is going to suck a little more than usual for some reason. I can feel it in my bones. I'm going to try to hold off on bolting on the fantastic plastic chrome clad OE wheels until Turkey day, but we'll see...

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Well so much for my beautiful paint... I ended up laying the jeep against a tree last weekend. Both driver side doors are dented and the rear quarter is smashed in at the fender. Trying to figure out if it would be most cost effective to get all the body work out, or get some junk doors, and just get the quarter reworked at the body shop. Hopefully going to throw it in the shop next week to get it fixed, and the whole side repainted. After that it is time to strip all wax and everything off and do a pre-winter detail. So pissed.

Thanks man, me too. The 2 driver side doors are actually pushed in around the door handles. It is impressive the handles did not break but put so much pressure on the door skins it pressed in the the metal. I honestly have no idea how to get that out.. I am thinking it will be fairly labor intensive and may be easier to just get junk doors and swap everything out. On the rear driver door the painted plastic rocker panel is also cracked. THEN when I was out to lunch the sun it is just right and it is dented in about 8 inches long right about the gas door.... Wonderful.

That's what happens when you decide to try to pull out a tow behind generator down a hill with hidden mud and get pinned against a tree.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Bought supplies to do an oil change at Napa. Got 5w30 synth for 3.49/qt and a couple 1515 Napa gold filters. Might install an aux transmission cooler while in the shop.

have you got any pictures has it damaged the door frames them selfs asif not it would be easire to put a new door skin on that a body shop should be able to do easily and cheaper than a new door but then agin junk yard doors cant be no more than 60-70 dollers can thay plus you may get extras with it like windows and mechanisums and door locks and handles that you could sell on to gain som money back
