I'm sorry...did you say that you did something? I keep going back to re-read, but I get distracted for some reason.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

So got round to doing the remaining lights...

Wet sanded,

Masked off the reverse section with fineline tape,

and after two coats...

Going to go one shade darker. Unfortunately, I need to be semi sensible, the laws on these things are constantly changing over here, so I don't want to push it.

Once I've got the shade I want, I'll clear these with 2K lacquer.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

i am going to figure out how to get rid of what i think are hard water spots on my glass. i went and played around in the mud yesterday and i decided to rinse the jeep off with a garden hose from my gun club since i was already there. i rinsed it off and went inside and let it air dry i never do this when i wash it, i always dry it with a chamois, but yesterday i was in a rush and said screw it since it wasnt clean anyway. now i am paying for it. i got back in my jeep yesterday and saw water spots on the windows and i was like ehh i knew that was gonna happen ill take care of it when i wash it tomorrow. i get out to my jeep this morning and try to wash the windows with the wipers and nothing still there so then i get out the can of invisible glass spray that on wipe that off with elbow grease and nothing. the spots are on all of my windows and i cant seem to get them off so Pissed right now i dont want to have to replace all the glass in the jeep.

here is a pic of the spots on the outside. not sure if you can see the spots that well

does any one know how to get these spots out?

A clay bar will take care of that. Treat the glass like you treat paint and you will be fine.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I've had a lot of luck with just carwash in the shade when it comes to glass. Paint is much more difficult because you can etch it with hard water like that, but glass should come clean with a good scrubbing. WORST case, try Ultimate Compound from Meguiars. That stuff has gotten everything out for me so far.

I read that on an auto detail forum and it has helped some downright nasty windows quickly and easily.

Another old school trick that works really well with stuff you probably have laying around the house is vinegar and a newspaper.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Today I will finish burping the cooling system after the radiator replacement. I will also be waiting patiently for the Moog steering stabilizer to arrive. If there is time I will rotate the tires.
