Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Swapped out the sagging stock springs, old isolators and worn shocks for UC springs new Isos and ProComp ES9000 shocks. Gained almost 1.5 inches! Everything was so shot and worn when I took it out.. Looked like crap. Also, it rides amazing now.

The weekend before that I did a plastidip "bugflector" along with the grill and lower fascia (I have since peeled off the grill and fascia.. for some reason I like the chrome on my jeep?) you can use the sig and the pic below for comparing the plastidip.

I'm going to have to get my front end checked, tires balanced, and an alignment. I got my first "death wobble" today. Not fun. Has anyone else had this issue and of so, how did you make sure it didn't happen again.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I can almost not believe it, but im driving for 12 months now (yes, a whole year!!!!) without the need of changing any parts or solving problems.
So im only doing to my WJ for what it was made for, driving it and enjoying it, FINALLY.

Happened to me several times in my old ZJ, there are tons of potential problems. Simple things first, make sure the tires are rotated and balanced properly. It could also be the steering stabilizer is bad, or the track bar needs adjusting or a new bushing. Then you should have the alignment checked, and make sure the tie rod ends and ball joints are ok. I think control arm bushings could cause it too, although I'm not sure. Botoom line is you will need to go through the front steering and suspension components with a fine tooth comb to narrow down and solve the death wobble problem. Good luck!

Thats impressive! Either you're taking really good care of it or not driving it enough!

So, I think I'm gonna have to check on the warranty on my power steering pump. The damn thing has been moody lately, sometimes its fine at start up, sometimes it starts whining right away. The thing was fine until a month ago, but now it appears to be sucking in air somehow and foaming the fluid, but only occasionally, sometimes its just fine. I've checked fluid a few times before and during this problem and the level is fine. I've tried bleeding it again both the steering gear and fan, no help no change. I don't see any leaks so I'm thinking its a bad seal on the pump intake causing it to suck in air. Does this make sense? I'm scratching my head here, there should still be enough pressure on the return side that it won't suck in air there.
