I haven't seen an issue with the heat yet. This was one of my concerns too but so far so good. I've been checking on it after driving for while.

I finally finished replacing the power steering pump, its been whining like crazy and started foaming the fluid. Took it back to Advance and they replaced it under warranty. All is good in the Jeep again! After the initial fill and air bleeding its been running great I put almost 100 miles on it this weekend.
This is the very reason I installed this. I hope to wire it up tonight. I am curious to see how long it takes to reach operating temp with the PML pan on it. I am going for 200k miles and hope this will help me monitor temps.

I need to replace my PS pump again...

I was thinking about this before, but i have the original pan without the temp sensor mount. Im almost at 200k Km now, so i think its not worth the trouble anymore.
There should be a possibility to check the temperature with the temperature sensor from the solenoid block. With a special scanner it is possible, but thats quite expensive.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I am not sure it is the pump or the seal on the bottom of the reservoir where it presses into the pump. I have been adding fluid all winter and it was really bad with our harsh winter and the WJ sitting out from October thru February.

My first replacement was a "Fenco" brand from Advance that I had never heard of. They since switched to A1-Cardone, a much more reputable reman company. I have higher hopes for this pump.

I was blaming it on the harsh winter too, but it was still acting up when the weather got warmer so I got a replacement. I too am thinking it was that seal, although mine had more than enough fluid and was sucking in air and causing foam. Luckily mine was still under warranty so all it cost me was time and some new fluid.

Unfortunately, selling it. I love my WJ (02 GC Limited w/ Stock Chrome Rims), but engine replacement at 175K miles although fun project to take on too costly to fix right now. 02 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED (MECHANICS SPECIAL)

Got the wires to finish up the trans temp gauge install so I hope to do that tonight.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Busy waiting for paint to dry....got new front rotors from EBC, and new greenstuff pads for all 4 corners. I bought some VHT caliper paint and cleared the "drum" part of the rotor, and shot my green pads with some silver, then cleared those too. As soon as they are done salting the ish out of the roads around here, I'm "goin' in". Fronts are pretty warped.
