Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I finally finished my plati-dip project. I started it late 2013 with the grill and the badges but then due to the cold winter weather I had to put everything an hold until the spring. Well spring is here and I finished up with the interior trim, taillights, badges and rims. I used the anthracite grey color and glossifier for the wheels, trim and grill (which held up pretty well over the winter but i touched it back up). For the badges I only used anthracite gray (didn't have glossifier at the time). Lastly for the taillights I used plasti-dip smoke and glossifier. Here are some pics. No clue to what I am going to do next lol

There is still excess dip on the wheels that I still need to get off. I'll get to it tomorrow

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Went out to Moparpalooza. I was the ONLY dubj there, but there were some awesome WKs and JKs!
Also, I won some caliper covers from MGP, they should be here this week!
The show was awesome and I can't wait for next year.

I prepped the car before the show and did a full detail:

Re did the mesh grill and changed up the colors a bit:

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

My mpg is not what it used to be, so i watched the O2 sensor voltages and saw that when driving at constant speed on the highway, that they almost don't change. They go from 0.8V down to 0.6V and up again. Only when idling they go further down. The fuel trim (LTFT) is about +6, which still seems to be normal. But i red that you can clean the O2 sensors (evenhow the thoughts about this are divided). Some heat the sensors up with a torch until glowing red, which idea i didn't like too much. Others use carb cleaner or gasoline. Put the sensors in gasoline and will see on wednesday if it made any difference. Probably new sensors will be the best, but are quite expensive overhere, so will try the cleaning first. Will report back with the results.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Next on the list for me is to get the wheels paints to match the graphite/charcoal badges and grill. I think it will tie everything really well.
