Nice job Tony, very well organized. This does remember me someone who has to organise his things too.
But uhh, do i see rust on the inside of some sockets???? Or did you put some AMBER coating on there?

He'll try to blame it on his 20 year old IRotaryDialPhone but like you, Frank, believe there's lots of amber in that box

Thanks! Next up are screwdriver/nutdriver bits. I need to consolidate dammit.

And that's not amber..."rust" is it's very own color. I will be going home tonight and cleaning each and every socket now though. There goes the rest of my week. I should probably hit them with some clear when I'm done too. Maybe wrap each one in carbon fiber vinyl?

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Stopped to pick up supplies for my JD 312 tractor project and came out to find the Jeep would not start. After testing the battery, using a booster box, cleaning the terminals on the battery, and hitting the starter with a hammer the starter is getting replaced. Bummed a ride home from the wife's boss. Any guesses on the cost of the repairs?

This isn't something you'd want to tackle yourself? Starters really are pretty straightforward. 3 or 4 bolts, 1 or 2 wires and you just swap it out. If you're definitely taking it to a garage, I wouldn't pay any more than 1 hour labor, and add to that the cost of a starter from Napa, plus a few bucks fluff that the shop will want for "markup" on the part.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

At this point my time is pretty limited and I have some house projects that need my attention. Add in that things at the church have been really crazy and I am running in a million directions. Book time on labor is .8 hours and the starter is just over $200. If I wanted to get it home I would have at least $75 to tow it back to my place. Either way I am going to pay.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Oil change! 7 qts of Napa 5w30 full synth and a Napa Gold 1515 filter which takes almost a full quart of oil. Sending an oil sample to Blackstone labs to get checked out.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Well I kinda miss all my WJ brothers so I figure I'd give y'all an update about what's happening in the life of Cheap. Well first off the Expy build is moving right along. For those of you thet are interested you can follow it here. Dave's multiple beer break Expy build - Ford Expedition Forum I hope Tony will be proud of me even if it is a FFFFFFFOOOOOO.........well you know I'm actually using some 20th century tech in this one. Now the Tj is coming along too but mostly mechanical stuff. One irritating thing of note is another friggin holy Mopar oil pan I did this one myself plus a new Flowmaster down pipe, cat and new o2 sensors.

WJ tunes live on in another Jeep !:

USB in glove box:

Led's Tony!:

Trailer wiring in case I want to drive around pretending I can actually pull a trailer.

Temporary rear speakers I stole off my quad:

As she is now. Gonna paint the wheels hammertone silver after I get the new tires on.:

Pitiful flex shot:

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

This post makes me appreciate the dedication to this thread....despite not having a WJ, he still keeps up apprised of his antics. Thanks buddy...and thanks for buying white LEDs and not that other hideous color for the interior.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I had a short look at the F..... forum, but no comments.
Those leds on the jeep look good though. Now you only have to clean the carpet, since the white light makes the stains more visible.
