A note on foggy headlights - I bought 3M polish kit for my right side light, the left hand light is clear and good.

After roughly 30 minutes of going through the differently grained papers with plenty of water, drying it and adding the magic polish, it looked top notch. I had to match the left hand side, result was above my expactations.

It holds well for about three months of blistering sun, after which it needs a touch up to stay clear.

A cheap solution until new headlights are fitted, but not a long term one.

Went thru that myself and the previous pis of the headlights I posted are a response of the work necessary to keep them clear. When you get ready to replace them there are many options out there. I got the pair for $100 shipped to my door on Amazon.

Yeah, I've read it with great interest. The clever thing with these forums is when others do the trial and error for you )

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Today i changed the bearings and the brush block/rectifier from the alternator. The bearings where making some high pitched noise and seemed to be without any grease. Now thats all silent again.

Looks like the wj will get a new master cylinder and likely brakes while up on the hoist at dad's shop.
