True, but I don't have the parts lying on my bench yet....

I was sure the damn thing was gonna finally rust out last winter... oh well once it does at least the wife will be annoyed enough by it to give me the funds to fix it with minimal grief.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I'm just waiting for someone to be giving away a borla or magnaflow ss catback, then it will end up sitting in my garage until I can get to it The poor jeep seems to be on the short end of the free time stick, she really needs a bath...

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Throwing some hose clamps on my brake booster line. Began losing my brake assist a few days ago, now anytime I WOT to 2nd the back pressure shoots the hose outta the intake. Running a K&N FIPK with a Borla Cat-Back, I must say does sound sexy. Also plan to do a lil TQ wire modding while I'm under the hood. Gonna try and pull it out of the harness rather than snip the wire. Sometime this month Ill get to my leaky rear diff seal ($500) and flush all my fluids and lubrication (probably $400). And to think I coulda had a nice 3" lift if it wasn't for preventative maintenance. Just Expect Every Problem, Just Empty Every Pocket.

Yeah dude...fluids add up FAST. I'm getting ready to flush and refill my diffs soon and it's like an $80 investment for 4 bottles of Royal Purple gear oil. WTF?!

You're having that rear diff seal done by a shop or are you doing that yourself?

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I will be trusting a local shop. I'm all for DIY but i do not have the proper skills/tools/space to get my car in the air and pull apart an axle. I could probably do the fluids myself for less, but maybe they will cut me a deal if i get this all done at once.

Also since Ive already got the Cat Back Im thinking of putting in a High Flow Cat and 70mm TB. Currently in school to become a Welder, maybe then Ill be able to do a full 3"

You should check out Schaeffers gear oil.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Quick question;

I'm changing the sway bar bushes on Wednesday. Do I need to jack the rear up to do it? I've left my Haynes manual at a friends house

Cool cheers Dave . Yeah it'll be in my workshop, so perfectly level. Not much free time to do it, so want to hit the ground running. Got a front wheel hub to replace too

I know that feeling! Had it a over a month and I have not detailed the exterior.

I think I will try to install the front tow hooks that arrived (Thanks TJXJWJ!) in the mail yesterday this morning... before the in-laws arrive for a few day.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

New front sway bar end links are IN! The mod outlook is officially grim....I do not forsee doing anything for awhile. I'm pretty damn content with it the way it sits now. Not to mention, my next project is already underway. It's shed-buildin' time. Retaining wall is in, 4 tons of gravel, re-located fire pit, 4x6's underneath as a base on concrete blocks, and after this photo was taken, that floor got 2 coats of Restore...a deck paint Home Depot sells that's as tough as truck bedliner. Hopefully before the week is over, I'll get started standing some walls.
