I thought a thread like this might be fun here...I know I've seen them in other forums (before I discovered the greatest forum of them all).
Here, I'll start...on my short list are:
New upper and lower radiator hoses and stainless clamps. Jeep's got about 85k on it. A new set of hoses is probably not a bad idea considering summer is almost here and the cost to do this is like $20.
Anyone here know the location of the oil pressure sender on the 4.0? Trying to find mine...there is no sort of pressure sender next to my oil filter. There is a pressure looking thing pretty far behind the oil filter...but it is WAY down in the engine compartment.
Got the wiring fixed. The ground had been spliced before. I repaired the previous splice before and fixed one that broke in my hand. I am surprised how unflexible the factory wiring is on this.
Fixed my tail light and gathering up tools for the long arm project. 1 1/4" bi metal hole saw and a couple of off size drill bits the instructions call for.
I totally came to this thread to say something but started reading the first page and got distracted by "trannys" "high intensity discharges" "weapons of mass destruction (I prefer eruption)" lol
When I remember, I'll let you guys know lol
EDIT: I remembered. Going to do delete the rear wiper-arm. It doesn't work and honestly, I don't use it never have used it even when it worked.
I personally have never seen it done. Maybe ill take a look at mine this weekend and see what can be done. Like you, i never use mine and when i do go to use it the wiper only works on half the window lol
Replaced the driver side hub 2 weeks ago... now the passenger just went out. Yay... Ill be fixing that now. Good news is it only takes about 30 minutes to do.
You sure you have it set up right bro? Setting that hitch up just right is crucial or things will be ugly on anything. Also I'm not sold on the sway control properties of that hitch at all. Show me a pic of your setup on level ground.
I'm pretty sure it was set-up right. I didn't have a problem with sagging or sway it just felt like it was really struggling to pull it. This is empty so when I get some gear and full propane tanks thats a bunch more weight. I'll hook it up again and give another try to see how it does and get some pics then.
Me too bro.I have 7 boxes of RC long arm stuff.4 ball joints,4 tie rod ends,5 u joints, rear calipers, pads and rotors,I need a new muffler and am thinking about changing out the front hubs because something is starting to get a little noisy up there. Man I'm having a hard time getting motivated to lay under there for days again.
Muffler is in! Sounds great! Still waiting on the tails.,.,found one of my tire valve cores is busted and leaking air.,.,went ahead and ordered all 4 new tpms valves since they are 9 yrs old and probably on their way out anyway with their battery life. Lets keep it moving.,.,.,.,.,.,
Looks like I have a buyer. Good freind at work is very interested and his wife is on board so that helps. Just needs to sell his Ford Escape first, good choice I think
At least being a friend I'll still get to see her once in a while maybe sit in it sometimes ha ha
