Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Well so much for the deluxe bath she was gonna get. I get home tonight go to the roll up window and the window rolls up followed by a Boom/Snap/Whatever the hell you call it and the window falls back down.

I believe it's the window regulator. Or at least according to this I believe it is. Motor sounds fine and like it's working. Nothing appears lose accept there's like 3ft of cable now chilling in my door loose.

32 Problems and Suggested fix

I searched on Amazon and there is a ton of options. It's overwhelming .

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...ndow+regulator

Anyone have experience with this? Or see the one they used?

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Confirmed its the clutch! Yippee!!

Sorry to hear about the window regulator, hope you can get it replaced easy enough. Although at least it is summer, wouldn't want that happening in Winter!

Oh the dreaded window regulator. I have already replaced mine. I bought mine from Napa. It seemed better quality then the original one.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

apparently going to be checking out my right rear caliper. Brought it in for an oil change the other day and they pointed out brake fluid all over the caliper. Lube place couldn't tell where it was coming from. So this week I gotta figure it out.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

went to local autozone and picked up regulator and motor for $72.99 with lifetime warranty. I figured couldn't beat that price, bought went home and installed. Window is fixed!

And then my lights came in. So installed those and now having issues with those

...getting front wiper arms dipped to match the rest of my carbon fiber hydrographic'd parts from JNL! Sent them out today...and of course it rains. Who needs wipers when you have rain-x though, right?

Ha, true! Problem is I haven't had a chance for a full detail lately so I had to use the wipers some today. If it ever cools off I will get a full wash/clay/wax etc. taken care of.

Akebono caliper conversion coming soon too, my front pads are starting to get thin and one of the spring retainer thingys rusted off... Probably doing exhaust soon too, I'm surprised it didn't rust out last winter. Borla or Magnaflow cat back?

Me neither actually...it could really use a full detail. Now that all my "summer projects" are done around the house, I'll be looking for a weekend to spend making sweet, sweet love to my paint.

I had the Borla stainless catback on my TJ and on my XJ. Great product, great quality.

I am currently running a stainless Magnaflow muffler with their tip. LOVE the sound. Deep and powerful...but sophisticated. I've said it before that if Jeep made an SRT in 2004, it would sound like this. You might want some more noise, and that's cool, but I wanted it to be quiet during cruising, and for it to scream when you get on it. The Magnaflow does that perfectly for me. Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Wish we had Autozone's here, my A/C clutch still hasn't left Florida... USPS Priority my a$$...

I can see dipping is going to carry on from where wrapping left off, Tony!?! Look forward to seeing the results, you are one brave mutha driving around with no wipers in the rain though. Cops would throw the book at me if I was caught doing that.

Also, did someone mention detailing??

Just started today, washed, IronX'd, de-tarred (about 3 spots), clay'd and just started the polishing with Menzerna PO203S.

Will finish off the polishing tomorrow (only done one side this afternoon) and get my new sealant on - ordered the G|Techniq C1+ & C1.5 kit. Its a nanosealant which lasts about 1yr and is self cleaning.

Ugh...JEALOUS! That's priority #1 when I get back from vacation...a full top-to-bottom detail.

As for rain, well, I got lucky today...sunny all day. Tomorrow might be a different story. You guys must have some sticklers for cops. None of the cops around here would ever notice that. You're taking your life into your own hands here if you don't have them, particularly in the winter. After tomorrow, the Jeep sits for a few days while we're on vacation, so hopefully I'll be good.

had my neighbor that works at a JY though my jeep on the lift. He right away said not brake fluid, smells like gear oil. Turns out axle seals were leaking. Had em both replaced. Leaking no more

Ventshades from www.weathertech.com will be here tomorrow. These friction-fit into the window channels so they can be easily removed to clean. Had them on my 94 Dodge Dakota and 2002 Infiniti G20 and loved them. Pics once installed.

Ordered Bilstein shocks and OME 10mm spaces this morning and I hope to install Addco bars before winter.
