Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I'm fitting a straight pipe, after my muffler rotted through! Will only be a temporary measure however, as I'm still determined to go down the true dual route.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Ordered new struts for the hood and liftgate. No more falling on my head and fingers!

Update on antenna piece: I searched through the local Craigslist to only find two WJ's in the area being parted out both of which when I called asking about the piece, the owners couldn't grasp the concept of what I wanted. So then I went to two different junkyards where they both had the piece but for $20! (The dealership told me a whole new set for $35) Really junkyard? Efffff you.....

Finally got one on the best forum ever thanks to a fellow WJer . Should get that soon and installed. That would close out the "15 minute mod that ended up taking three weeks to finish" lol.

As well, I've come to a cross-road with my WJ. I'm having a hard time deciding to whether continue upgrading her or save up for a TJ/CJ. I would continue to do minor mods and things but I wouldn't be dropping money for things such as new wheels/lift/etc.

Crappy hood lift struts SUCK...good idea to replace them. Mine were toast when I bought my Jeep. I almost took a hood to the back of the head the first mild breeze that came along. Damn thing started coming down, I was lucky I saw it before it knocked any kind of sense into me. Whew....

I can't say I condone leaving your WJ for another vehicle, but if you're going to do it, it's hard to argue with a solid TJ. I LOVED my TJ...but there came a point where I wanted a little more room, power, some actual comfort, and something I could regularly drive long distances without feeling like I got into a fight by the time I got to where I was going. When you're ripe old 34 years of age like myself, you start looking for things that are more "comfortable". Lame...I know.... Alright, that's enough...off to take my nap.

That has GOT to sound interesting with no muffler...

If you do the true dual set up, I would certainly hope for a detailed play by play! I'm really curious how much more azz the Jeep would get out of a mod like that.

I've had five stitches put in the back of my head cause of bad hood struts on another vehicle I was working on AND it took two fingernails off as well lol.

hahaha nap time. love it.

It's a toss up. I'm weighing out the pros and cons of a WJ vs TJ. It's keeping me up at night lol

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

I was planning on replacing the rear sway bar endlinks, getting energy suspension bushings, painting the Addco bar red and ordering a double DIN bezel.

Ended up, ordering a lens for the camera, two pairs of loafers and two suits. I'm broke and it's not even the 1st of September yet...

Let's just say, all I'll be doing to the WJ next will be filling up the tank and cleaning!

I certainly will come watch the slow, methodical degradation of the JK section once you get your ride.

As a dear friend, I just want to let you know that if you intend to sell that WJ of yours, it'll never move until you put some effing badges under the effing hood.

I will be asking you to clear the cob webs out of your head for some suspension tips though bro. I have always wanted another Jeep since my Golden Eagle. I bought it new in '81 with with the 304,3speed and Levis interior.Sure wish I could find one of those with anything left to it. My then wife made me sell it when she caught me jumping beer cans for money.Should of sold her or paid somebody to take her and kept the Renegade
