Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

How cold is it getting in your area at night Travis? I assume when you start the car in the morning heat out the vents is warm enough to demist the interior quickly?

Love the snow mod Aaron, exhaust sounds good too - nice work! I loved finding deserted car parks a few years back and having some fun drifting the beast in the snow, safe in the knowledge that it'd never get stuck!

It it -13c last night and we had 40 to 50 KPH winds. I did not crawl in the WJ this morning but I did notice there was no frost on any of the windows.

Marty, I should have talked to you about the fender mounted indicators on your WJ before it went to the breaker. I love the looks and the added visibility that they add.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Brrr, -13! It is supposed to get down to -4 tonight (<5mph winds though) and my car is already beginning to frost up. Thankfully this car doesn't frost up on the inside like the Jeep did, which saves a bit of time!

They were standard here so you could easily find a pair on eBay for example. Startech made clear ones which looked even better (obviously!) but they discontinued them when I asked which was 2 or 3 years ago now...

Time to check out the UK ebay and hope a seller will ship to the states.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

So when you open up a door, there is a some sort of rubber/epoxy/material that is all around the door. Looks like a moisture barrier almost. I've torn mine apart when I was working in the door. Should I replace it? What is the use of it? What should I replace it with? Thanks.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Well, I was driving down the highway last night and had a window regulator go "POP" on me I Decided to go ahead and replace all 4 of the plastic cable blocks with aluminium ones. I'm hoping I'll never have to deal with them again!

EDIT: I had some time at lunch to dig into the door and discovered that the cables were all mangled up Fortunately, I was able to use a heat gun (torch would have been better) and some pliers to straighten the cable back to an acceptable form.

Agreed...keep the snow, and nice work on the plumbing! That muffler will "open up" a teensy bit after break in. Perfect sound though...

While you're sitting on the computer or watching TV, clench, and release, clench and release....after a few months you'll start to notice an improvement.
