Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Here you go dude: Jeep Carbon Fiber Side Roof Molding Trim | eBay

I just posted this up but somehow my post came up blank? So I'll try to remember what I wrote the first time...

The auction is for a pair of 6' lengths, but I needed more than that for my gutters. All I did was message the seller and he sent me the longer lengths I needed at no additional.

This stuff actually has a textured finish to it like the 3M di-noc wrap. All I did was a little IPA wipedown of the area and stuck this stuff on. Super easy, and it cuts with heavy-duty scissors or a razor. It would be perfect for what you're looking to do. I have a scrap piece left, so if you want any more info on it let me know.

Thanks bro! When I first got my WJ we were sitting at a stop light during an ice storm and a big piece of ice fell off a power line and fell onto the roof. Put a dent right in the middle of one of those ribs.Forgot about it till I put the new antenna on and now it's driving me nuts all over again

The Goat and that 442 are friggin awesome!!!

That would drive me nuts too. I did it to cover up some of the imperfections from the roof rack being bolted in. Good cover-up material...ahhahaah. I might do the pinch weld along the bottom too. Still debating. I had it painted black and it caught my eye too much, so I color-matched it and it still catches my eye. Maybe if I put this stuff on it, I'll be happy when it catches my eye...hmmmmmm.

You make a good point...my issue with that is that I don't want to take that away from our buddy Dave.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Thanks! i did not buff off the white pin stripe down the side of the truck for that reason, i think that would just be too dark, i also used chrome lugs and then polished the center caps on the wheels rather than coating them so that it could break up the black... then of course the white letters facing out on the tires to tie in the white pin stripe down the truck... i think once I powder the roof rails it will really clean up the whole look of the truck. those flat black rails drive me nuts! in the sun the high flake calipers in blue really pop and that does well to add an accent color and break it up as well. I am just thinking that I want to do someting a bit more custom with my wheels... but sometimes less is more. these spokes are so tight i can not do the inner barrel of the wheel in another color, i would never be able to get in there and clean it.

Re: What are you doing to your WJ next?

Changed oil and installed a Napa Gold 1515 filter in place of the factory installed size. It takes another 3/4 quart of oil which is a good thing in my book. I finally installed the wiring harness adapter and wiring to go along with the trailer hitch so I am set to tow a trailer.
