WJ SRT8 Questions

Hello Grand Cherokee drivers im new to the forum so don't kill me with hatred lol

but anyways i have a 1999 GC WJ 4x4. To be honest i don't off road so my goal is to make my own version of a Srt8. its the 4.7 v8 version so i KINDA have the performance. here is a series of questions im gonna ask

i wanna make the back tires wider without the height... what is the widest tires i could put in the back?

2. i need a more sturdy sway bar. so my jeep can feel more firm to the ground

3. where can i find HID Fog lights?

4. i need an exhaust system the sounds like heaven..( im not expecting the speed of the 2008-2013 SRT8)

5. i need springs and shocks the doesn't raise or lower the vehicle

all the help would be appreciated Thanks my fellow members

Re: WJ SRT8 Questions

What up Shaq!

For the sway bars look at Addco rear and front sway bars. They'll make a world of difference.

For HIDs look at one of our Vendors, XenonDepot. They make some of the best/if not the best HIDs.

Couple guys run different exhaust. They'll chime in soon enough.

For shocks you have to go with Bilsteins and nothing else.

Everything I didn't answer, someone will soon enough.

1. Staggered SRT8 Replicas on WJ

2. It's all about the addco swaybars. I've got them front and rear...HUGE improvement on handling.

3. Contact XenonDepot here in the vendor's section of this site : XenonDepot - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum

4. LOVE my Magnaflow, but exhaust sound is very subjective.

5. I'd stick with stock springs personally, and add Bilstien shocks.

With a name like "Shaq" I would think you'd be modding a Buick...heheheh.

Here are some shots of what I've done with mine. Sounds like you're looking to do some similar types of things. This thread might give you some ideas.

Re: WJ SRT8 Questions

Thanks dude...I try. The badges were custom from Nate...he's also a vendor on this forum. You can find him here: ReBadge Design and Graphics - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum

As for the HID's, XenonDepot is the place to go. I'm running Gen3 projector headlights with their HID kit, and my fogs are also projectors with their HID kit. 5000k everything with the CCFL halo's and LED turns and signal bulbs. The LEDs are all from VLED. You can google them...they've got some very high quality LED replacement bulbs.

Bottom pic is of my fogs...they are different on an 04 vs an earlier WJ in case you weren't aware.
