Re: 4.6 Jeep Stroker tuning

So far so good, running on a 93 octane tune. Drivability has been improved as has power. I'll try to get the owner on here to put in his .02 cents.

I want pictures and a clear video! I love it when people do the Stroker kits for the 4.0L!

I like to highlight various oddball builds I end up doing work on (either tuning or porting) for me to do an I6 , much less a stroker in a Jeep on 33's and 6" lift is pretty outside the norm. I think it's pretty cool.

I emailed the owner the link to the thread, looking for pics and video.

Re: 4.6 Jeep Stroker tuning

Update to this thread....owner now has a wideband so we have been tuning WOT. His intake is a restriction so he is not achieving true WOT use...Other than that the truck appears to be running great. Says on dry asphalt, a WOT punch from a stop will smoke the heavy 33" retread tires for ~10 ft before hooking up. May be able to extract some more power yet with some more timing, due to the heavy retreads and the 500+ lbs extra the truck has the spark is very conservative.

Re: 4.6 Jeep Stroker tuning

What's the gear ratio in the axles?

Any idea of MPG yet?

4.56s. Owner has not said anything on mileage, but I just sent a msg to ask him about it.

Edit: Owner replied, said he hasn't really checked yet. Once we are finished I would expect a 1-2 mpg increase compared to before tuning, and comparable mileage to stock.
