Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Well to get things moving for the 5.7 guys I bit the bullet and just bought a new TB directly from Chrysler. I lost with 1 second to go last night on a Ebay auction, and all of the Hemi guys have been waiting a LONG time. the car manifold cores seem to much harder to come by then the truck cores. It was NOT cheap, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I'm off to port some more now, will be doing so for the rest of the day.

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Randall's 3.7 TB is finally finished. Going out tomorrow. Finally. Got a chunk of aluminum in my eye porting yesterday so that slowed down my progress.

Waiting anxiously for my 5.7 cores to come in......

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Guys, I will be ending Wedsnesday next week. If you are waiting on an order, you're in the clear, but if you have not sent payment to me already, please do so ASAP.

I have 1 4.7 core that I need to get rid of. Any takers?

Def worth getting, especially with the group buy going. I've seen nothing but good reviews.

PM'd, yes there are cores available.

You are missing out to some degree by not having a CAI, but you will still see gains.

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Update....

my Die Grinder failed on me today. The collet is defective, preventing me from inserting a bit into it. This occured while I was switching mandrels.

After talking with Makita's Customer Service, I am covered by the MFG warranty and was referred to a local tool repair center. I stopped by and saw that they are closed for the weekend. I will go back Monday AM and see what they say. I am guessing it is a simple fix, but it will set me back a few days.

On another note, my spring break is coming up, and provided my gear is up and running again (which it should be) I will be porting all throughout the break. Except for St. Patty's Day. . I expect all TBs to be at least shipped out by end of this month.

The GB will still be ending Weds.

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

How easy is it to remove my TB and install the ported one ? If it just bolts on, I will be in the GB before it ends Wed for my 5.7.

I haven't done it yet but it's not anything complicated. Hurry up and get in on this!
