Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Just got home from work. Got the TB in last night (talk about quick shipping!) but didn't get home until 12 and overslept this morning. About to go install now. I'll be posting my review soon!

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Got it in...HOLY SH!T! As I told Ryan just now, I didn't expect anything nearly that noticeable. The reaction from the time I hit the gas to when the Jeep gets hauling ass is soooo much quicker. The exhaust is even deeper. The CAI's even louder. I wish I had some 0-60 times from before and after cause the difference is relatively huge! Worth the tiny bit of $ 10fold.

Pictures are loading now and I'm taking someone out to dinner. Review/How To coming when I get back!

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

These are more finalized photos of both Nick's and Ray's FRP TBs. I believe those are fingerprint smudges or leftover remnants of compound on Nick's TB.

I knew you'd come around sooner or later.

Although I dont believe the polish adds anything in terms of flow , it does look pretty slick.

Mine howls like a MF'er at around 8-10" of vacuum. To the point where you can hear it in the cabin. Most of the TBs I port have the whistle. Not sure what it stems from.

Re: FRP TB Group Buy

Drool, Cant wait to get mine.

I think the polishing is done to insure that there is nothing to create "turbulence" in the air flowing in the TB am i correct?

More so to silence the haters than anything else........ Looking pretty goes a long way in this world.

There is likely less turbulence, and there is a proven resistance to developing carbon deposits. This isn't TB specific but sometimes you want some turbulence as air molecules can sometimes "tumble" on top of one another.

How much it helps flow numbers? Who knows. Velocity I think would be more likely to go up. The two go hand-in-hand most of the time, but are two very different concepts.
