I can port 4.0 throttle bodies. I have a 99-04 4.0 TB coming in as part of the core exchange in a few weeks, so if you would prefer to keep your stock TB and just buy this one outright from me, we can do that.

lol, Shawn, I don't port Magnum TBs because I feel there are enough aftermarket alternatives available to them. The Mag motors also need bigger blades more than anything else, which is something I don't offer. Most of the new motors have sufficently large enough blades, it's the inlets and the port mis-match against the intake manifold that really need re-working.

Re: New Pricing for FRP Throttle Bodies

Is there any good aftermarket TBs for my Jeep that you can port and I can buy from you?

I do not stock aftermarket TBs. I can port them on request. The only item I am really a "vendor" of is ported OEM throttle bodies.

For the 4.0, you can find several TBs around. I believe Rubicon Express sells one with a 62mm mm blade. F&B also sells one that is 65 or 68mm.

Re: New Pricing for FRP Throttle Bodies

Is it worth it to have you port these aftermarket TBs or should I just purchase one and slap it in?

For a 4.0....I'm not sure. To be honest I haven't ported any aftermarket TBs so I can't say. From my experience, assuming your tune is where it needs to be (i.e. not running lean or rich), bigger is better. You'll also be limited by the inlet of the intake manifold.

With an aftermarket TB, the most I can do is enlarge the TB inlet (tapering it to the size of the blade). I would have to imagine that the aftermarket castings are already matched to the intake manifold inlet size, so I can't do anything there.

For the 3.7s, you'll need one from 05 and newer. Irfan will have a 3.7 TB after he installs the one I am currently porting for him. I would talk to him about it.

I'll be on "vacation" for the next month...so go ahead and make arrangements with Irfan to buy the TB off him, so you're good to go come January.

Re: New Pricing for FRP Throttle Bodies

i have a 4.0... and this looks like nice christmas present for myself lol but i have a few questions...
1. Its $70 + shipping sending my stock one right?
2. How long do you think it would take for you to get it back to me i live in Texas.
