Not quite- the cost is 90+ shipping, the core credit (assuming you have a 3.7) is 50...so you would be refunded 50.

A ported throttle body will make the vehicle feel more peppy and responsive in street driving, and at WOT will breathe better.

In most cases, I have also found that a ported throttle body will make highway passing easier, and gas mileage has increased by ~1mpg. I make no guarantees, as it is very dependent on the way you drive.

Because factory TBs are used (albeit modified), I am very confident that this would not be an issue in Cali.

Re: New Pricing for FRP Throttle Bodies

Ok Grand Master Scott.....damn it was just a question. lol. I just don't want to do to much to my engine because california smog is a female dog (lol). So I would get the 70mm right? or the 72mm since I am running superchips, exhaust and intake?

You can, but it's not necessary. I haven't ported any of the TBs, but I'd certainly be interested in seeing if theres any gains to be had.

Since now I know you have a 4.7, I'll sum up what I do with those TBs. I modify the stock 68mm blade but I enlarge the opening to approx 75-78mm at the inlet, gradually tapering it to the blade size. this combined with me tapering the backside of the TB to the inlet of the intake manifold provides a venturi effect, making for really crisp throttle response.

the sizing up the TB according to what kind of tuning you have is mostly a myth. Example, a 72mm TB is perfectly fine on a stock PCM calibration. While yes, it is a good idea to invest in PCM tuning, it is not entirely necessary.

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you.

Re: New Pricing for FRP Throttle Bodies

Sleepy I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I6 4.0L. It currently has the stock TB with a K&N57 CAI and a AIRIAD Throttle body spacer. What can you do for me? I recently put in that powerstick you commented on in another post but other than that everything else is stock engine wise.
