05 grand Cherokee 5.7L

What are a couple of things that i can do to improve performance on my 5.7. My brother says a cold air intake. I'm trying to improve the respond time for when I'm in the need for speed.

Re: 05 grand Cherokee 5.7L

Custom tune, ported tb, cai, exhaust, headers, there are many things that can be done. CAI by itself i feel like isnt much to notice, i would reccomend a custom tune though theyre worth the money

Welcome and ONE THING! Don't go the cheap route. We have vendors for all your needs. I recommend an Airaid Intake first then move onto an exhaust and shoot for a Diablo Sport.

Re: 05 grand Cherokee 5.7L

Make sure all the maint. is up to snuff - plugs,CLEAN tb,even run some sea foam through. That will ensure you'll get the most out of what you do. The TB ground mod is the cheapest & quickest (time to do it)mod I can think of, and it helps with throttle response.

@ 4.whoa ive done a full tune up and but the sea foam too. And still the same issue. My other choice is CAI or modded parts.

@ escape fast enough to keep up with the competition lol.

Re: 05 grand Cherokee 5.7L

Ha, ha...Escape IS the competition. Take a look at our sigs...do you want to stay naturally aspirated or go the forced induction route?

Re: 05 grand Cherokee 5.7L

Cheapo stock SRT8 CAI FTW. Best $40 I ever spent on my WK. Scangauge II shows massive drops in IAT (not to mention I'm just glad to get rid of that crappy resonator intake).
