3.6L wk2 hotdog exhaust

So today I went to the exhaust shop and asked if he can do something to give me a bit more of better sound from exhaust

so he suggested running straight through hotdog exhaust pipes at rear ...

My problem is I think it's too loud and getting loud drone especially in 5th gear any suggestions on how to reduce the drone

It's too late now but I would have taken the middle Resonator off and put like an x pipe and leave the mufflers in the rear ,good sound at cold starts and acceleration but not loud at all.

I second that, too late. If your gonna do an exhaust buy one that's tested and properly made for the vehicle. Too many people slap mufflers on a car and expect it to sound good.

Agreed! I purchased the x pipe and had the resonator take off. Cold start does sounds great and acceleration as well, but not too loud
