Re: 4.7 dual exhaust ?

no matter how you do your exhaust you wont be getting much more power..i had mine true dual at first but it wasn't right..suggest the srt setup because its already bent and made for you. you can cut out the 30 pound muffler, and put 1 straight pipe from where the muffler started.. connect it to a Y pipe into the srt setup...ill guess youll feel more of a kick but nothing HUGE. but either way you have a 4.7, if your really looking to make more power do the easy stuff like, superchips tune, cold air intake, things like that! good luck brotha hope that helps!

Re: 4.7 dual exhaust ?

if youre going to do duals at all, make sure they are true i.e. equal length with a crossover. 4.7 sees good gains with a full exhaust

Re: 4.7 dual exhaust ?

There seem to be so many dual options out there and it's tough to pick which manufacturer to go with. Thnk you all for the input!

I've got true duals that are side exit. Mine is not a kit you buy I had the shop make it the way I wanted it. It does drone a little but it's pretty damn loud when I get on it.

Re: 4.7 dual exhaust ?

i have a 2.5" from manifolds with high flow pre cats to an x pipe where it goes 3" duals all the way back. the mufflers are flowmaster race series single chambers. the tips are 5" straight cuts. I had modify the gas tank skid plate to fit the big 3" throught. duals can be done exiting in the rear.

Re: 4.7 dual exhaust ?

SRT exhaust fits with the oem hitch, they fit just below it you just need to make your own tail pipe hangers. I love my magnaflo on my 4.7 with side exit. Mine is custom built by a local exhaust shop. I'm not sure which magna flo it is but its stainless steel and its a straight through style not chambers. Its one of the louder mufflers the shop sells. Its quiet at idle, rumbles while cruising and roars at WOT. Never ever drones. Its perfect if you ask me. All 2.5" pipe muffler is welded to the flange then pipe to a dual exit tip under RR door. Though if we have another baby it will be moved behind RR tire so noone burns them self. I've had the exhaust for almost 50k miles now. My 21 month old son loves it, humms him to sleep ever since my wife was pregnant with him. Here are some pics right after the install and one from last winter.
