Just a quick update. The head units alone range from 1700-2700 depending on the model and that's my cost without any shipping to even Get the head unit to me. And the aluminum just to have the brackets made at a minimum of 200 bucks without having the machine work done.

Re: 4.7 Supercharger kits

Not to be the bearer of bad news but I dont think there is a market for these. Not unless you market or the kit is interchangeable with Dakotas, Rams, etc. Even then I think it is questionable. This sluggish economy does not help matters one bit. Maybe if HPTuners supports JTEC trucks it might be worth revisiting as there would be a better defined tuning solution, but until that happens I would not do it for profit.

I would like to see the 08 manifold swap become a cheaper option for those looking to upgrade, but I don't think we will ever see that happen, either.

I hear ya dude. I agree it is a very small niche market but I think it's still there. And to be honest, if I make it to fit the tight WJ engine bay..... It will fit anything lol

The layout of these Jeeps really makes it difficult and cost-ineffective to modify to put down real power unless you have the skills to do it all yourself. The average guy doesnt want to have to be custom fabbing sh#t to make it fit, they want a bolt-on solution. And no such thing exists.

That's what I was going to make. You still have to mechanically inclined to install but oh well.

Re: 4.7 Supercharger kits

I would love to have one Richie! I just dont think I want to spend anymore $$$$ on a 2006. If you had offered these 3 yrs ago...I would be the first customer. But...be patient....the WK's are starting to get bought up by a younger crowd and they will want speed.

The sad thing is I need to either move forward with getting brackets and spacers made or I wont want to pull all of my jep apart later when someone wants to buy one.

richxgior is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: 4.7 Supercharger kits

i think its a good idea to do it, im 20 yrs old and alot of my friends same age would love to get there hands on some speed for our v8's. Alot of people have to put the money where there mouth is tho. I think if you can really build something that can be bolt on and offer a good amount of power, youll have something going..if u ever actually make one and it happens to be bolt on, id be ready to get one. but, its selfish for me to say start because of how bad i would ilke to have one lol

Of course everyone WANTS it, but how many people will actually do it? How many 20 yr olds have the money for a WK and then put down another 5k on a SC kit? That is the problem. Everybody wants something but few seem to grasp that you have to pay to play.

I would like brackets for a Novi 2000, I can if need be source most everything else myself.

With the Rams and Dakotas it seems like people would rather do Hemi Swaps then swap on a blower. Same power for half the money invested. It it costs 200 bucks to get the brackets copied I would like to get them.
