My stock 4.7HO put 308HP to the wheels in AWD at 8# of boost at a Mopar dyno day. The only truck that made more HP then me that day was a beefed up 383 Stroker. None of the Dakota Rt's Made more then me and of course they are the 360. Shed they weren't stock either. Keep in mind they day the 4.7HO are rated at 265 At the crank but realistically put around 200 +/- To the wheels through all of or parasitic loss.

Re: 4.7 Supercharger kits

not bad, was expecting a little more power..but then again 100hp gain is decent! how much hp does the kennes put out, even tho they stopped making them

It was higher if you go by crank HP. We are talking wheel HP here. We also have inefficient drivetrains.

I'm intrigued, if it's possible to make a reliable kit, and I have the cash for it. But I'm on the fence about keeping my '04 HO as opposed to going in a different car direction. Hence me having a prepped 2008 manifold sitting in my garage and not installed / tuned.

Re: 4.7 Supercharger kits

What if you just sold the brackets and people could slowly piece together their SC kit? I know personally everything I've done on the WJ has been me slowly accumulating parts in my bedroom, and then a year or two later it all comes together. Perfect example, my new suspension has been pieced together piece by piece since january 2010, and now it's finally complete and ready to be installed. A lot of us guys are passionate as hell about our trucks, but are stuck because we're going to school and are poor because of it lol. I'd be down to buy supercharger brackets, and buy a supercharger further down the road.

That's definitely something I have thought about.

Most people don't know what all it takes piece by piece to make something like this work.
