4.7 Superchip users....

Has anyone seen any real power increases with these or run better 1/4 miles times? Im trying to decide if its worth the 315 bucks right now. I need more power.

I see dramatic changes using the high-octane tune on my 4.7L Gen II. I'm not into racing, so no actual track results.

There's a 30 day money back guarantee - just buy it and return it if you don't like it.

there is a superchips thread on here with testimonials. I "felt" increases in hp/tq and showed better 1/4 mile times

Thats cool I dindt know that. The thing that sucks is even if I dump a ton of money into thise gen 1 4.7 it will never be as fast as the gen2, I should have waited 2 years to buy my Jeep but they do claim like 20rwhp with the 91 tune so I guess ill see. maybe i'll run it before and after at the track and see whats up.

Re: 4.7 Superchip users....

For a stock truck, Superchips is great. Just make sure you run 93, SC (at least the older 4.7 programs) had a tendency to run a little too much timing. a 180 thermostat wouldn't hurt either.

Im getting a K&N intake next week so I was thinking of adding the 180 t-stat when I put in the new intake Im just afraid it might not be a good idea being that its winter and im in PA. Luckly Santa's buying the intake and muffler for me so I should have a few bucks to buy the SC, I do need some new tires but i'd rather have the SC. I'd really like to do all 4 mods at one time so I can feel the power gains all at once if any.

Re: 4.7 Superchip users....

You can also get an 08' intake manifold with the EGR delete with a SCT tune.

I might be wrong but the 180 t stat from Jet warms up in the same time that the stocker did. I'll be in NJ for winter myself with my modded WJ so I'll have first hand experience in a few weeks.

Re: 4.7 Superchip users....

Air Ram told me about the SCT tune but one of the reasons I was going for a superchip was to get the LCD readout of 0-60 and 1/4mile times which is an option I think I would like. Does the SCT tune produce much more power over the superchip?

Re: 4.7 Superchip users....

i dont know about more power out of the box. I think what the sct gives you is custom tuning capability. for the SuperChips you get whatever SuperChips offers. SCT you can geta tuner with the software and he can customize your tuneusing datalogs or a dyno.
