Very nice, great job with the painting bro!

That intake is definitely on my list of 'mods to do'.

EDIT:

There is a bung on the back of it that will hit the PCV valve i think. Scott tried to do it can could not get it to fit even after trimming it.
I thought this only affected the '06 models?

In that case there are two options... either modify the EGR to fit with the intake or delete it. To delete it you will need an EGR block off plate and SCT tuning.

Im willing to bet that you could modify it by relocating the EGR and then run a solid brass (HOME DEPOT PLUMING) line from the EGR port hope to the new EGR location.

Re: 4.7 V8 friends---step in..lets talk performance

From what I've seen, the best bang-for-the-buck mods are doing a 3" single high-flow exhaust from the Y-pipe back, and porting the TB. On a dyno, I'm guessing the TB wouldn't make an earth-shattering difference, but in terms of throttle response, and overall drivability, the change was very noticeable.

I went to a hi flow catted 2.5" Magnaflow exhaust to a 3" catted Magnaflow exhaust, my 1/4 times (even when correcting both times for that day's specific weather) saw a .35 sec reduction. This is in a full weight 4.7 non-HO WJ 4x4 with 31's and a small lift, STOCK tune, with just a CAI at the time as the only other performance mod.

Due to other issues, I haven't tested the other changes I've made to my setup, but I'm gunning for 14's on stock cams, stock stall, 31's and a lift, and pump gas.

One other thing to note, I am a very big believer in the '08 manifold and the adapters, I am very much looking forward to getting mine when the time is right.

Sooo, does the 08 manifold fit?

Could someone post a pic of what is preventing it from fitting?

Ahh, I see, that sucks. Dumb question but what does EGR stand for/what does it do?

So SCT now makes a programmer for us? Is it better than superchips?
