Stick to the HO cams.
Cool, thanks for the info Ryan!

I'll need to see what I can do regarding tunes then. No-one over here really deals with Mopar PCMs as they're not a common here.

Looking at the clearance under the hood I'm not too sure if the Sullivan would fit either. Unless Nick comes back with anything different I'll assume not.

Just need to set a plan and get saving I think!

Re: ++++4.7 V8 performance mods++++

there is a guy who installed the Sullivan on his Jeep GC... he did cut a hole in his hood though. So if you need a reason to get a new hood the Sullivan intake should be good enough reason....LOL

FYI - We now do SCT tuning! Send us your PCM part number and we will look it up and let you know if your supported. Right now you cant beat the sales going on for SCT custom tunes. Our current sale is $350.00 for SCT Tune with FREE TWEAKS & TUNES & Our Canned tunes are only $250.00. We cover 1996-2006 Dodge trucks & Jeeps.

So if your looking for a custom tune... let me know!

How come SCT doesn't do any tunes for the 2007 Jeeps? Just wondering for those who have one.

They took it up to 2006 and stopped their... Just keep on bugging them, that's the best suggestion I can give you. Unfortunately we can only tune up to 2006...

Thanks for the info Nick! There is a ram air hood available for the WJ but according to the site they don't ship internationally - I'll be contacting them at some point next year to find out for sure though...

Good to know you do SCT tuning too, I have the Superchips programmer just now which is fine for my current mods but the SCT tune would be great when I do the manifold and cams!

Re: ++++4.7 V8 performance mods++++

Carhoods.com had them for available for the 99-04 WJs but it seems to have disappeared from their site, it was the Deep Throat STS style one. Only the 93-98 ZJs are listed now.

I was soo looking forward to getting one too - assuming they would've shipped it.

Re: ++++4.7 V8 performance mods++++

I just have a K&N 63 intake, and magnaflow 18in as of right now. I want to do a cam, 08+ intake, and under drive pulley but the labor on cam installs is nuts around here and way out of my $$$ range. What kind of RWHP do you guys think a under drive pulley and SCT tune would give me? Are they worth it for a basically stock engine? If not I might just save up my $$$ for some SRT wheels, if I cant be fast I might as well look cool haha.

You may gain 15-20 HP from a tune and pulley. They are worth it if you are using them as stepping stone for future mods but if not then make it look fast lol.

Re: ++++4.7 V8 performance mods++++

Do we still have a thread for the 4.7 to consolidate what mods are best in what order? Ive seen different things in different threads and i could have sworn we had a thread or sticky for 4.7 mods with everything listed in order but i cant find it.

Whats the best setup to make a gen 1 close to a 4.7 HO?

HO cams, Beehive springs, 08+ intake, SC Tune, CAI, Throttle body, 180 T stat?

How hard would the install of the cams be after you have the front end torn down and ready to open up the engine? Ive never done internal engine work besides water pump etc.
