Heres the issue with the iat- its not that it isnt long enough, its that its the iat for the 6.1 hemi yet Bwoody "acts" like they either dont know that, or they keep sending it out anyway (knowing it wont fit without modification to the wire) It is simply not the right plug. Now if wire splicing doesnt bother you, then bwoody is the way to go
i bought the short ram for 3 reasons

1. it was 239 powdercoated and shipped
2. it flows higher cfm than the cai
3. its louder

ive had some sort of intake on every car ive owned, and ive never got any REAL performance gains from one. its more or less just more noise and better throttle reponse. had i known that i'm going to have to splice wires, i probably wouldve gotten a different intake, but oh well.

Re: 4" Bwoody CAI 5.7

I have a 4" bwoody and love it! It does give a little better throttle response and I did feel a little difference... but its definitely louder. I had it stock and when you stomp on it, all the sound comes from the engine... then I put a magnaflow catback exhaust on it and I just heard the exhaust, then I put the bwoody on, and honestly, I hear more noise coming from the engine bay (bwoody) when I stomp on it. I hear the bwoody more than the Magnaflow when I stomp on it. It sounds mean bro, you should def do it!

Re: 4" Bwoody CAI 5.7

is the iat different on the 07-09s from the 05-06? i was reading up on this and all of the people that had problems were 05s, and there were a few people with 07s said it was plug and play.

It seems numerous people who buy this intake from Mike at Bwoody get a iat extension that wont work. I had to splice wires, as did everyone else who got the 4" bwoody. Truth be told-after i spliced some wires i never looked back and it works great, no issues, but id bet that Bwoody knows they dont have a iat extension to fit the 5.7 (only the 6.1) yet they keep sending it out.
Funny that you say that...I just got off the phone with Mike @ BWoody and he said over 3000+ intakes there have only been a couple problems...now you are I are part of that "couple". I do not want to splice any wires so he said he was going to send me a "new" one and go from there. I should not have to modify something that is advertised as P-N-P on their website...and that is $300+++! So now I have an intake in my house with no IAT extension. Here are a couple pics of the plugs, grey (stock) on right...weird thing is the IAT sensor won't even plug into the extension, let alone the stock connection. Mike said they could be modified to fit, but again not the P-N-P way it should be

Re: 4" Bwoody CAI 5.7

Hey Kevin... you have the Magna Flow Catback... have you ever tried removing the reso and just going with the muffler itself? Just wondering how it would sound. In the reso is for drone control but other than that is there any other relevance to it?

Re: 4" Bwoody CAI 5.7

just installed a BWoody....WOW is all I have to say

I had the full AIRAID for about a year and loved it...great gains and great gas mileage

This BWoody is in a different class....it sounds so much different (better IMO) than the AIRAID and seems to provide a great pep in the engine. I was stock for about a week and going to the BWoody was a much different change than when I went from stock to AIRAID. The BWoody was a lot harder to install, and required mod to the IAT sensor/connection...but seems to be worth it. I will have a couple trips coming up so we will see on the MPG's...because the AIRAD gave me well over 1.5 mpg's.

some install pics...techflexed the IAT extension
