Re: 5.7 mds disable

I have mine disabled. I think it drives better since there is none of that delay of engaging/disengaging MDS, and I still get 18-19 mpg on the highway with lift and tires.

Re: 5.7 mds disable

i added a magnaflow muffler about 3 months ago and was getting this horrible exhaust note when i'd cruise at 40mph. you could hear the mds kicking on and off every few seconds. it was like it didn't know if it should be on or off. i bought the predator in december and disabled the mds. it completely eliminated that sound. i haven't noticed any decrease in mpg's either. i say disable it if you can.

Re: 5.7 mds disable

Had no MDS on my Overland. It was awesome, I didnt hear the helicopter noise from the MDS anymore.

If you have the predator/superchips, disable the MDS. You may get a 1 mpg decrease but who cares?
