Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Deleting the Reso creates Drone. I don't want Drone because I do Highway Driving every weekend. I don't want to have a headache. Lol

I'm still comtempting on the two exhausts. Don't know which to get. I'm leaning more towards the MBRP because of the driving I do. But if I get the Dynamax Muffler and keep the Reso I don't want it to be loud while cruising. Joe is it loud while cruising on the Highway at speeds of 70MPH?

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I installed a dynomax bullet muffler per Joe's recommendation but I left the reso on, it sounds great to me, but I do recommend going with the 3" muffler in/out. I was in a hurry and ordered the 2.5" in/out by mistake, and it doesn't feel like it flows as well as it should, ie too much back pressure, if that makes any sense... let me see if I can get a video up on here so you can judge the sound for yourself...

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Where did you get your Dynamax Bullet Muffler from? I'm looking around and I found one on eBay. It says the length of it is 12"Inches?

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

If you want obnoxiously loud, do what I did. Chop off the reso, weld in straight pipe, get a new turn down tip, cut the suitcase muffler and weld the bullet muffler in place. But turn off MDS because it will sound like a helicopter in your Jeep if you dont. LOL

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I want it nice and deep sounding. I don't want to wake up the neighbors at night also. So I think I'm going to just buy what you got. I'm waiting for Ahamay115(Chris) to post up a video. I MDS will be turned off .

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

^Press the tow haul button.

Why dont you want to just get the muffler? If you dont get an exhaust with a larger diameter piping, then you wasted your money. And I believe the only one with 3'' piping is the MBRP.

And still I think my old Jeep was louder. Ask people on here for real life testimonies. LOL
