Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I have a Diablo Sport so I'm fine! Now you got me thinking Joe. Your right. I would be wasting an Exhaust. I'm confused right now. I just want the Muffler.

So If I get the Dynamax Muffler I would have get a Larger Diameter of piping. Chris said he got the 3"inch In/Out. So I would have to get 3 Inches all the way. Could I keep the Reso also?

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Dont get a new catback unless the piping is larger.

Just weld in a dynomax bullet muffler in place of the suitcase (you'll need some extension pipe) and keep your reso.

Get the 3'' in out bullet muffler, get some 3'' extension pipe and you'll be set. Your installer can weld the 3'' piping on the stock sized piping.

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Ok! I'm going to order it in 2 weeks! Get ready! I'm so excited!

So my Set-up is DynoMax Bullet Muffler 3"Inches In/Out and some 3 Inch Piping while keeping the Reso on!

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I am getting a lot of useful info from this thread. I've been kicking around the idea of running an SRT exhaust (resos only) and losing the spare and the trailer hitch. I'm just worried that the tips will hang too low because the bumper isn't as low as an SRT

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Lots of good info in this thread... Joe's exhaust on his 5.7 (the bullet muffler and no reso) is for sure the loudest I've heard. I think the MBRP 3" cat-back would probably be second loudest... it has no reso, but the muffler is a bit bigger than the bullet so that quiets it down a little bit. I'm pretty sure the other cat-back systems come with a resonator so it will keep it a bit more docile.
