Like I stated earlier, sound is dependant on a number of things...the same muffler can sound very different depending on the application.

If I were to go Dynomax, it would be a superturbo...nice deep sound. The bullet is going to sound raspy and have a higher pitch...not quite as high as a ricer(due to the 5.7L displacement), but definately not like you would think a JEEP should sound. It will also produce more drone, for it just doesn't have enough volume to adequately deaden the exhaust sound...it will have a higher pitch and be much louder. Maybe that is what you are looking for and not necessarily a deep, low rumble. That Bullet is nothing more than a glorified resonator made strictly for racing...if you want your Jeep to sound like mine, then this may be the ticket, lol! However, you should come buy and listen to mine before you pull the trigger, for it is LOUD!

Honestly, the best thing for you to do, would be to go to a reputable muffler shop and tell them what you are looking for...they have experienced many different combos and have a good feel for what will produce a deep note on a V8 motor. Caveat: go to a place that sells/carries many brands as opposed to just a couple, for they will have an unbiased opinion.

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I'll try and take one and post it up. keep in mind that I have a cam/heads/headers/dual exhaust...all things that will increase the sound level.

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

How come I have never seen you before! The only really modded WK I have seen was a Dark Blue WK 5.7L with Tinted windows, SRT Exhaust which was crooked, Lowered with Offroad tires and Deleted Roof Racks.

Well you explained to me that it has a very deep toned exhaust which is what I want. And yes I don't want a Raspy Toned Exhaust but Joe's sounded really nice! But I really want to hear yours because I'm going for a very deep tone! But I also want it loud when I punch it!

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Here's some videos I found of the Dynomax SuperTurbo Muffler. I like the sounds of these. If I were to get a Dynomax SuperTurbo, Can I also get it 3"inches In/Out? If I get these, I bet the Jeep would sound deeper. Would these have a low vidrating sound if I were install them on the Jeep? AMW5 Please post it when you can!

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

Maybe I'll just delete my reso with the 50 series... takes a while to hear it in this vid, but it's worth the wait. This is a 50 series Flowmaster withouth the resonator.

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I like that sound...But wouldn't it have a lot of Drone? That's the sound I'm looking for in a Dynomax. Don't know which to get? Dynomax Super Turbo or Dynomax Race Bullet?

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

I'm a big fan of the Magnaflow round mufflers. What size depends on how loud you can stand.

Re: 5.7L WK Deep Sounding Exhaust

That 50 series sounds gooood. Flowmaster definately has a unique sound. The Dynomax won't be as loud if you go with the largest oval they have. I bet the 70 series SUV would sound great on a 5.7...it was awesome on the 4.7 with 3" pipes.
