Re: Added an SRT8 rear sway bar to the 07 WK Limited

it makes you wonder why they dont engineer these stock with proper ones. I mean if you can impove driveabillity by increasing the thickness then why didnt the engineers do that in the first place?

thats really gonna be an opinion more than a fact

fact-the addcos are larger diameter----are they better? Dont know

fact-there have been fitament problems with addco

fact-the SRT's fit perfect

fact-I bought the addcos and installed them, the fitament sucked and I had to pay to have them uninstalled and SRT's installed.

Addco will tell you the fitament problems have been fixed. I had one of the first sets made....so hopefully in 4 yrs they have it right. Its up to you. Dont make your decision on my opinion.....

Re: Added an SRT8 rear sway bar to the 07 WK Limited

The statement about silicon spray being your friend had to do with the actual install and not anything to do with squeaking or other issues once installed. may have been the cold temp in which I did the install but the silicon spray made it a lot easier to get the bushings on the bar, the brackets over the bushings and the brackets lined up to install the mounting bolts. Before I broke out the spray, every step was a struggle.

I will eventually get bilsteins but currently have no plans for lowering springs. My days of messing with ride heights, up or down, are pretty much over. I like the way the jeep rides/drives now and figure the bilsteins will take care of the slight nose drive on hard braking. Just don't see much to be gained by lowering the body an inch or two.

I luv my lowering springs and would do it again in a second if i bought another WK. Just the look alone is awesome, I hated it stock looking all jacked up in the rear. And now cornering is much improved and hardly anymore nose dive on heavey brakeing. BUT, I will say if i did not put these 20" srt rep rims on then I prob wouldnt of lowered it and left it alone. After getting the rims on it just didnt look right to me stock height.

Re: Added an SRT8 rear sway bar to the 07 WK Limited

^^^ I'll take that bet, and say it will be installed by June IF he can find someone to do it for him. If not we are prob going to here his review of the install around mid October.

If I came home and there was a new sway bar sitting at my front door step in the mail I would get my tools and install it right then and there.
