I believe the CAI would work on the 3.7 V6 as well...but we need some confirmation. I need a 4.8 V8 owner with the K&N Intake to meet up with a 3.7 V6 owner and see if the 4.7 K&N works on the V6. That should be proof enough. provide pics etc.
All interested in a TRUE CAI for their WK.....POST HERE NOW!
Price would be between $300 and $369. Bwoody also needs a volunteer near Edgewood, Maryland for test fitament etc. Please apply within---LOL
still sitting on my thumbs. Mike is waiting for the tooling place. Sounds like they have a new die and its giving them trouble. I guess its made in Germany, so it takes a while to get the part fixed....
I honestly dont even give a fark about numbers. I am not in it for that. i've just always wanted a bwoody intake for this and i can t stand my ghetto home rigged stock setup that i have now LOL.
TimmyB is coming to my house this saturday to get my SRT8 exhaust and if we have time we will see if his 3.7 K&N intake will fit my 4.7 so we can rule in or out the 3.7 for this CAI.
anybody with a 3.7 and a buddy with a 4.7 can meet up? Somebody here has a 4.7 and their dad has a 3.7....but we never heard from them. It would take all of 2 minutes...literally
NOTE: It is supposed to poor rain here until sunday, and i have to work on saturday.
I did glance at the two a few months ago, and just from a glance it looked like they would not work. The 3.7 is shorter that the 4.7, and just from looking at the mock up of the bwoody intake, it looks like it comes really close to hitting one of the ac lines. If that's the case, then it would actually be resting on the ac line for the 3.7, I really think it depends on how the final design is for the bwoody intake. I'll take some measurements as soon as i can.
well...I have the K&N and its a waste...totally does nothing but make a bunch of noise and look pretty. The 3.7 K&N doesnt remove the resonator box...which is a huge restriction. If I were you...since its a 30 day return policy...I would buy the K&N for the 4.7(it requires removal of the intake resoantor) and see how it fits. If it doesnt...get your money back. IMHO....a short rsam that doesnt remove the resontor is a waste...thats the big restriction. Plus if you are getting the ported TB...the K&N may help a tad. Even if the swapping of stock intakes doesnt work on the 3.7-4.7....it doesnt mean the Bwoody wont work on the 3.7.
The lower air box is where the stock air filter is. The air resonator is the one attached to the TB and that is what restricts the air flow. Any intake kit that keeps the resonator box is useless, i had one for my 4.7 and it was completely useless. the intake kit needs to remove the box attached to the TB or its a waste. I would try what scott suggested.
Look closely Irfy...they arent the same. It shows a different style tube on the 4.7. The K&N for the 3.7 keeps the resonator box and the 4.7 design doesnt.
