Another 3.7 exhaust question/opinion

Okay, so I got a set of a complete SRT8 exhaust system, meaning, muffler, pipes, resonators and tips. Now here is what Im thinking in terms of options. Please be brutally honest about it.

1. Install the hold thing as is with a Y pipe before the muffler.
2. Install the hold thing but instead of using the muffler add another resonator on the muffler's place, then add a Y pipe after it.
3. Forget about it.

What do I want to accomplish? A QUIET ride with a less restrictive air flow. That is all I want. Thank you guys for your input.

Re: Another 3.7 exhaust question/opinion

So Im basically adding 2 resonators to my stock set up. Is that really going to free some air?

Re: Another 3.7 exhaust question/opinion

Brother fabian, what ever you do, freeing ( restrictive ) air flow, will always add more tone ( sound ) , PERIOD.

Your jeep has 2.5 inch tubing from front to back. How much inches is for EACH srt tubing? you must not get over 3' overall maximum.... i guess you will lose performance on a 3.7 v6 if you didnt stick to a 2.5' overall from front to back by loosing way too much back pressure.

After months of research, I got rid of my cats, and installed 2 magnaflow free flow mufflers with 2.5' tubing from front to back, all what i have is more punch when i accelerate and a nice deep tone that is not loud, i guess its the best to do with our 3.7

its only my opinion, plz check out this site to get a better idea of what i am talking about before you do your move.

Re: Another 3.7 exhaust question/opinion

interested in what you end up doing. I also have a 3.7 and want to get a less restrictive setup and add some tone, but without sounding cheap or ricey.
