Re: Any 4.7's with ported and polished 68mm TB?

Dwight does a really nice job for sure. He gave me a few pointers that I'll start implementing in the 3.7/4.7 TBs.

If anyone wants to "borrow" a 4.7 core, let me know. I can send mine to Sleepy and you can send me yours once you get the ported one.

Re: Any 4.7's with ported and polished 68mm TB?

Question, do i need to disconnect my battery after install for this thing or is this cpu smart enough to know that it is breathing better and will remap on its own?
I'm just thinking of throwing it on and call it a day, opinions?

Re: Any 4.7's with ported and polished 68mm TB?

Carlos,

you need to get yourself an "Automotive Settings Keeper." i bought one a couple of years ago and they work great.

http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=GK504&cat=GDT

put the 9v battery in the device. plug device in 12v outlet. unhook battery. reinstall battery. unhook device. all presets and clock are correct.

Re: Any 4.7's with ported and polished 68mm TB?

Looks great Carlos. I cant wait till i have the money to really put some good performance mods in to my WK. Id love a TB, Bwoody CAI (if its ever produced) and SC at least.

Re: Any 4.7's with ported and polished 68mm TB?

Just installed this sucker and i have to say, the idle is soooo smooth and the Jeep doesn't shake like it used too! i thought i needed new plugs but seems like this took care of the problem.
The stock TB was so filthy from the inside that is felt like it had a thick layer of gunk buildup on it.
Cant wait to try it out on black top tomorrow. broom brooooom!!

Forced Induction is on a distinguished road
Re: Any 4.7's with ported and polished 68mm TB?

Is there any advantage to a 68mm (or larger) TB on an 04 4.7 H.O.?? As seen in my signature, all is stock for now.

Thanks for the help.

if you plan some internal mods or forced induction then yes....something bigger would be better
