Re: Bad Brakes Please Help

It really boils down on what u are looking for, u will get different answers with different set-ups. I like the Drilled n Slotted because of the looks and doesnt warp as easily as the OEMS with the Teves calipers, some like the smooth ones because its quiet, some like the slotted ones only and on and on and on.... so many reasons why we put what we put as our rotors, bottom line is which do you prefer?

Re: Bad Brakes Please Help

unless you get a super high quality rotor...do not get drilled. They tend to crack. Get a nice slotted rotor.

Re: Bad Brakes Please Help

Are the R1 Concepts a high quality rotor? What the main advantage to them being drilled?

sorry bro....I've never had a set of r1's.....so i cant say.

The drilling is suppossed to pull heat and gases away from the rotor. But some manufacturers drill them to closely to the edges which cause cracking and rotor failure. The best drilled rotors will be multi-piece rotors.
